In moments of great national decision, people of faith are called to take not only political, but also spiritual action. We must serve the common good, but so, too, must we seek out the mercy and blessing of God.
I exhort you to vote your consciences, and invite you to join with others in the Old South Church community to, as Paul put it, "pray without ceasing".
From 8 pm on the eve of the election, to 8 pm on November 8th when polls close in Massachusetts, we will sit vigil. We will pray. We will entrust our nation's welfare to God's tending.
Visit our electronic sign-up form where you can make known your commitment to be in prayer for our country for one 30-minute block. You may pray at the church during regular business hours, or pray anytime at home or elsewhere.
Will you pray with me?
