Rémy Hatfield-Gardner is a part of the Multimedia Team, helping run the live stream for worship services.
Alex joined Old South Church in the Summer of 2021 as their Administrative Assistant. This role assists with the organization of Old South's office and communal spaces, accounting, inventory, and working the front desk. Alex recently earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern University. Coming from central Massachusetts and being brought up Greek Orthodox, Alex attended Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Fitchburg, MA every Sunday growing up. Here Alex served in the altar, led the church's youth organization, and sang in the choir.
William Wei came to the U. S. after he graduated high school in China in 2010, and he joined Old South Church in 2012. With the spiritual support and guidance he received at Old South, he redefined his faith in Christianity, and proudly came out as a gay Christian. In 2014, a first year in college for filmmaking, William made a video about Old South Church’s Scarf Project (a ministry of spiritual response to the Boston Marathon Bombing), and discovered his passion in making videos for ministry purposes.
John comes to Old South to fill the newly created Director of Operations role. John previously held the position of Director of Operations for St. Stephen's Youth Programs, where his areas of oversight included human resources, finance, facilities, and IT. Prior to that, John was a brother in the Society of St. John the Evangelist, an Episcopal monastic community in Cambridge MA, where he served in various roles, including Facilities Manager. Originally from Lancaster Pennsylvania, John now lives with his wife, Hannah, in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Boston.
Jamie has a background in social justice and climate change communications. Before coming to Old South, she served as the Communications Manager at Boston-based nonprofits Climate XChange and Climate Action Business Association. Jamie graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Environmental Studies. During her time in New Orleans she co-founded Tulane's fossil fuel divestment campaign, served as Facilitation Team member of the grassroots Gulf South Rising movement and Leadership Team member of 350 Louisiana, and worked at the Tulane Office of Sustainability.
Linda is responsible for all of the business office functions. These include Human Resources, Finance, and Bookkeeping. She has been working at Old South since December of 2015.
Emily Ross is a New Zealander who immigrated to Boston with her American husband. She studied Archives at Simmons College and is delighted to be putting that education to work in Old South's archives.
Corey Spence, Old South Church’s Weekday Receptionist, joined the staff in November 2009. Prior to coming to Old South, Corey worked at the Arlington Street Church as Assistant to the Senior Minister, and during his travels across the country, worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, TX. Corey is a member of Saint Mary's Church in Rockport, MA and sings in the choir there. He is a member of the Old South Ringers. He is also an officer of the Massachusetts State Grange. Corey and his husband Christopher reside in Rockport, MA.
